Created to showcase flavors typical of Asia such as jasmine tea and mandarin oranges, the Jasmine Mandarin Sour is also a good example of a twist on a classic. Using a sour base, Simon layers on vodka infused with jasmine tea and the robust flavor of Absolut Mandarin to create a modern experience of the classic sour.

Jasmine Mandarin Sour

  • 3/4 - 1 oz lemon juice
  • 3/4 oz simple syrup
  • one egg white
  • 2 oz Jasmine Tea Infused Abslout Mandarin Vodka
  • Instructions

    dry shake or whip ingredients to emulsify

    addd ice and shake

    strain into a cocktail glass

    garnish with an orange peel

    I didn’t realize the infusion process was that fast with vodka and tea bags, that’s definitely something I’ll try soon

    I enjoyed this at the Art of the Cocktail in Rochester, NY yesterday! 

    One question: If using a lower proof alcohol, does the steeping time increase?  I’m thinking of trying this with sake.
