Berries and Bubbles Cocktail

By Kathy Casey

The Berries and Bubbles Cocktail can be made with any berry that is in season. With the addition of a nice brut Champagne, this cocktail is perfect for entertaining or celebrating.

Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 oz vodka

8 to 10 ripe raspberries (any ripe berry will do)

3/4 oz fresh lemon juice

3/4 oz simple syrup (1:1 sugar and water)

1 to 2 oz Brut Champagne

Instructions

Shake first four ingredients with ice until well mixed and chilled.

Double strain into a cocktail coupe.

Top with Champagne.

Garnish with a fresh raspberry on a cocktail pick.

Nice! I have friends (2) coming over and luckily enough my wife picked up some raspberries yesterday and today as well.

Alas I don’t own any coupe glasses, the tall flutes oughta do it just as well.

You think freezing a few raspberries would do the trick as garnish and just drop them in the drink? Or are fresh better? The flute kind of prohibits the use of any sticks…

Gotta say, a wonderful summer cocktail! Especially towards the end it got sweeter/stronger, yummy!

Hi Celestino - Thank you for watching! I love the idea of a floating, frozen raspberry and the photo looks great!
