Vodka is the most popular of spirits, it's lack of discernable flavor however, when mixed in a cocktail, makes it necessary to approach it's use slightly differently than other spirits. In this episode we use the "Harrington" to illustrate how vodka can play an important role in various drinks.

clean and beautiful lovley to behold most classics it seems are simple elegance. with the glut of vodkas on the market flavored and otherwise do you feel that mixing them with purees and other mixers, juices for added flavors as well as the abundance of marketable spirits such as alize is outside the relm of cocktails ? cc

I think that there is room for both the simple and elegent cocktails as well as those which might be a little more on the “extravagently creative” side. The trick however is all about creating a culinary balance, and a drink which properly celebrates the spirit it contains instead of hiding it behind flavors of childhood.
